Safe Internet use:
Never provide information about yourself to any website, email request, chatroom or any other online source.
Don't provide strangers with any images of yourself.
Take great care in the websites you visit as some sites contain damaging images and virsus.
Don't open emails from unknown persons.
If you receive hurtful or unwanted email alert someone - a family member, a teacher, an adult you trust, record the hurtful information and then ignore it, don't respond. Don't relay a hurt message on. You are more valuable than you know.
A word about
A password is your private key to your online resources. A strong password helps in keeping your resources safe.
Don’t share your password with any other person. If you accidently share your password change it immediately.
Don’t enter your password when people are viewing your actions.
Don’t use the same password for many sites. If the password is compromised then a third party will be able to use it on other sites you access.
Use at least 8 characters including capital letters, symbols and numbers.
Create passwords that do not include real words. Use combinations not found in dictionaries.
Don’t display your passwords.
If you use a computer that is in general public use be aware that it could be running key loggers that record every keystroke that you type and thus reveal your passwords to a third party.
Don’t provide your password, or any other information, to anyone asking online. Check the address. Don’t be afraid of ringing the company first to make sure you are not being tricked.Change your password from time to time.
Change the style of your password so that it is significantly different from the old one.
