MILITARY VEHICLES AND
WEAPONS:
We live in the hope that one day Peace will rule our planet. Our
section on the military is an acknowledgement that many of our
citizens have answered the call to defend the freedom we now
enjoy. The weapons and vehicles shown are examples of what these
citizens had to use and what they had to face. The sacrifices
made by these men, women and children will never be forgotten. Lest We Forget.
Before we unfurl the flags and march down our
streets
Before we lay the wreaths
Before we sound the Last Post
Before we listen to the fine words of the
politicians
Before we build memorials
Let us tend to our returned service men and women
Out of work, living on the streets, fighting for
medical assistance both physical and emotional, ending their own
life this is totally unacceptable
Let us tend to the families of the fallen ... their
partners, their children, their mothers and fathers, their
brothers and sisters, who have to continually bear
unimaginable pain
and sorrow
Then we can gratefully
acknowledge the supreme sacrifice of those who did not return
(homeless ex military
statistics:
3000 in Australia, 9000 in UK,
50000 in USA)
(Surely if we have enough money to send them to war we have
enough money to look after them when they return, why should
they continually fight on their return home)
