Light aircraft are much smaller than the commercial jets that transport millions of passengers each year. They can be privately owned and operated. They can be used to provide a limited means of travel to destinations not on the big jet routes. Light aircraft can be used in many diffezront ways from providing a platform for fire spotting, traffic control, cattle locating to providing access to areas lacking roads.
