Location: Central Andes

Size: The length of head and body up to 1.60 m (about 5 ft); shoulder height up to  85 cm, weight up to 65 kg

Life Span: 15 to 20 years.

Current Status: population levels dropping from poaching and habitat loss

Habitat: live at an altitude of 3,200 to 4,800 metres

Fast facts:
--- their wool is finer than any other animal wool
--- feed in on the grassy plains
