Scientific name: Crocodylus acutus

Location: Atlantic and Pacific coasts of southern Mexico,  Peru and Venezuela.

Size: lengths of 6.1 metres

Life Span: 60 to 70 years

Current Status: endangered in some areas of its range

Habitat: mangrove swamps, river mouths, fresh waters, and salt lakes and at sea

Fast facts:
--- nostrils, eyes, and ears are situated on the top of its head
--- eats insects,cattle, birds, mammals, fish, turtles, crabs, snails, frogs, carrion.
